It is written to be consistent with Albanian Law No. 124/2024 "On the Protection of Personal Data" (in force since 1 February 2025), which is aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible for your data (data controller)

Contact and project inquiry forms (homepage and product catalog): full name, email address, phone number, business type, the product categories you're interested in, and any message you choose to write.
Direct contact: if you email, call, or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever information is contained in that message (e.g. your phone number and the content of the conversation). WhatsApp conversations are also processed by WhatsApp/Meta under their own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Website usage data: we use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookie-free analytics service that records aggregated page-view and interaction counts. It does not use tracking cookies and is not designed to build an individual profile of you.

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, payment card details, government ID numbers, or other sensitive data through the website.

Gastroteg does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookie the site may set is a strictly necessary, short-lived NEXT_LOCALE cookie, used solely to remember whether you chose English or Albanian, so we don't need separate consent for it under applicable e-privacy rules.

4. Why we process your data (purpose and legal basis)

We process the data you submit through our forms in order to respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote, and carry out any resulting business relationship — this is necessary to take the steps you request before entering into a contract, and is otherwise covered by our legitimate interest in responding to genuine business inquiries. We do not use your contact details for marketing communications, and will not, unless you separately and explicitly opt in to that in the future.

5. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only with the service providers (processors) that help us run the business:

Zoho — delivers your inquiry to our sales inbox and sends the automatic confirmation email you receive after submitting a form.
Vercel — hosts the website and provides the cookie-free analytics described above.

These providers may process data on servers located outside Albania, including within the European Union. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep inquiry data only for as long as necessary to handle your request and any resulting business relationship — typically no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required to comply with a legal, accounting, or contractual obligation. After that, it is deleted or anonymized.

Under Albanian and GDPR-aligned data protection law, you have the right to:
